Dr. Fernandez-Lopez earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a focus on coastal marine biology from the University of Puerto Rico, graduating magna cum laude. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from North Carolina State University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014.
Her diverse training includes internships at the Florida Veterinary Referral Center, externships at the Carolina Raptor Center and Georgia Sea Turtle Hospital, and completion of the prestigious AquaVet I program.

Dr. Neely has been featured in numerous media outlets including The Philadelphia Inquirer, The Main Line Times, ABC Channel 6, NBC Channel 10, and Martha Stewart Living Radio.
She created and hosted "Ask The Cat Doctor Talk Radio" and produced "Tails from the Cat Doctor" for ewave.tv.
