Dog Rope Leash and Harness

Being a senior citizen with arthritic hands, the rope leash is much more comfortable to handle my boy Duke..I also like the harness except for when I go to take it off. The clasps to secure the harness are very rigid and I have to use needle nose pliers to release them. Thank goodness Duke tolerates me taking the harness off! Any suggestions?

Loop is too small to go around a grown man’s hand. Clasp looks very flimsy as it’s very tiny.
